Sri means ‘Grandeur’, ‘the wealth within’ ‘another reference to Goddess Lakshmi’

Lord ‘Vishnu’, the manifest aspect of almighty represents all possessiveness the entire known universe is Lord Vishnu. The order, the grandeur, the symmetry are all represented by ‘Sri’. Thus, it (Sri or Lakshmi) is depicted as the one who dwells is the Heart of Lord Vishnu.

Heaps, they look chaotic. But if they are arranged according to a plan or a scheme, they become a beautiful house. The beautiful house is nothing but all these elements. The grandeur part has come due to the principle of ‘Sri’.

‘Kshetram’ means field or the space is the domain. Any place can be kshetram. But, if the grandeur is manifested and if the place is an unable to the presence of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi, it is Sri Kshetram.

In a much deeper philosophical context ‘Sri Kshetram’ actually means the whole visible, peaceable universe.

 

The name ‘Sri Kshetram’ is chosen as ark for the centre for Applied Bharateya Philosophy.

Philosophy. Child means ‘love’ ‘sofia means wisdom. Philosophy etymologically means love for wisdom. Earlier the word philosophy was used for reprises to sciences as well. But now, is generally refers to the study of general and fundamental questions about such subjects like, ‘existence’, ‘value’, ‘reason’, ‘knowledge’, ’mind’ etc.

Then, what is this ‘Bharatiya’ philosophy?

‘Bharateya’ is a word of ‘Sanskrit’ language or ‘Bhasha’. When it comes to fundamental concepts and philosophy ‘Sanskrit’ has unhappy edge over all other languages. If can it once reflect pure philosophy as well as applied philosophy or once.’
